There is a three year achievement gap between Australia’s best and worst performing school students. Worse, this gap is largely defined by socioeconomic, geographic and ethnic lines. Teach For Australia’s vision is of an Australia, where all children, regardless of background, attain an excellent education.

Recruitment Support Officer

Employment type: Full-time (contract role: February to 31 December 2018)

Location: Melbourne, VIC

Reports to: Admissions Manager

The recruitment team plays a crucial role, contributing to Teach For Australia’s growth priority, recruiting the nation’s most promising future leaders, who commit to teaching for two years in schools, serving students from low socioeconomic backgrounds. We seek to attract the most impactful group of leaders to the Leadership Development Program, and build a reputation as the most aspirational pathway for impact in Australia.

The Recruitment Support Officer role is designed to provide coordination and administrative support to both the Selection and on boarding processes within the Recruitment team. Recruitment and Advocacy Manager

You will source, compel and support talented and diverse individuals to apply to Teach For Australia’s Leadership Development Program. You will work with university, community and industry stakeholders to influence exceptional candidates (at any stage of their post-university career, from current graduate to experienced professional) to engage with Teach For Australia’s vision to end educational disadvantage. Associate, Teach For Australia’s Leadership Development Program

Employment type: Full time

About the position

We believe that to achieve systemic change, inspirational leaders are needed in schools, communities, business and government. Through the Leadership Development Program, we recruit outstanding individuals with academic expertise as well as a range of skills and experience to become ‘Associates’ who commit to teach in an educationally disadvantaged school for at least two years.

By the end of the program, you will have earned a nationally accredited Master of Teaching (Secondary) degree on scholarship, all the while earning a full salary and benefits for the duration of the program. Learn more about the program here.
