As it stands, not every child in Australia has access to the education they deserve: children from the lowest income households are on average three years behind in school. Teach For Australia seeks to break the cycle of educational inequity, to level the playing field for young people across Australia by recruiting and developing leaders in education.
Our team is committed to helping end educational inequity in Australia. This means we’re still committed to providing you with the same life-changing roles, qualifications and leadership opportunities throughout our Leadership Development Program.
The safety of our staff and our applicants is, and will always be, our highest priority. Our entire three-stage application process has evolved to be fully online, limiting any unnecessary in-person contact. We also want applicants to have all the usual information at their fingertips, meaning all face-to-face interviews, national webinars, meet a TFA recruiter chats, Alumni Q&As and application workshops have been redesigned to take place through digital channels or over Zoom.
Our Associates come from a diverse range of backgrounds, and many had never considered teaching before joining the program. But our community shares a strong passion and commitment in helping to achieve equity in education in Australia.
